Registration will take place through Volleyball Life and teams will be accepted on a space available basis. Divisions will be capped as space is limited for ALL divisions.

Sand Open Registration Policies
- Cancellation Fees:
- $50 at any point after you register
- No refund after Monday at noon, week of the event (Monday, August 3rd, 2026).
Grass and Sand Dino Registration Policies
- Cancellation Fees:
- $10 at any point after you register
- $25 before Monday at noon, 4 weeks prior to the event (Monday, July 13th, 2026)
- $50 before Monday at noon, 2 weeks prior to the event (Monday July 27th, 2026)
- No refund after Monday at noon, week of the event (Monday, August 3rd, 2026).
- LATE FEE per Team: An extra $20 per team starts Monday, August 3rd at noon, space permitting.
Sand Open Registration
Putterhead Doubles Open Division forms will be accepted based on the following:
Teams will be accepted based on either of their players 2025 finishes in any of the following events: Beach Bash, Vail Doubles, Steamboat Doubles, Breckenridge Doubles, Oasis Classic, or the 2025/26 CO Winter Beach Series final standings. We can take a total of 28 teams per gender with 4 of those spots being reserved for Wild Card entries for improved competition.
Before 12pm on Monday, June 15th, 2026, spots will be filled based on the following priority system:

Tier 2: 4th – 7th place finish
Tier 3: Team TruVolley Rating
After 12pm on Monday, June 15th, 2026, any remaining open spots will be filled based on the following priority system:

If your partner changes at any point after 12pm on Monday, June 15th, 2026, your team will be reevaluated. If your team no longer fits into Tier 1 or 2 of our priority system, you will be reevaluated based on Tier 3. After reevaluation, if your team’s TruVolley Rating drops below a team’s TruVolley Rating on the wait list you could be replaced and put on the wait list.
*Wait list order is based on team TruVolley Rating. All tournament seeding will be based off of TruVolley Rating. If your team does not make the 28 team main draw you will receive a full refund.*

NEW in 2026
VOTR would like to let everyone know about a major change to our tournament format beginning with the 2026 season. VOTR will now be advancing more teams to bracket play at all of its major grass tournaments! For years, VOTR has advanced the top 2 in each pool to bracket play for divisions bigger than 12 teams. NOW, well over 60% of the teams will advance from each pool to bracket!
For all grass divisions, teams will now advance into two separate brackets after pool play: an upper bracket for teams finishing 1st and 2nd in their pool, and a lower bracket for teams finishing 3rd and 4th. Teams finishing below 4th place will not advance to bracket play. The bracket format will remain single elimination, with single games played until the finals, which is match play (21, 21, 15) format unless otherwise directed by your tournament director.
